Ritual Grief Space
Time & Location
About The Event
There is so much and so little that can be said about the nightmare unfolding on earth right now. Seeing the illness ravage individual bodies, families and communities is beyond overwhelming. To see the numbers of how this illness is particularly hitting communities of color, Black and Native communities in specific, is devastating. It’s hard not to be in a constant trauma response.
If we’ve learned anything over the years as practitioners in this work, it’s that grief unexpressed easily becomes weaponized by oppression; and that oppression can go both inward and outward for generations. Coronavirus already threatens our present and future/s enough. We want to mitigate the potential transmission of more harm through unexpressed grief if at all possible. And we simply want to connect with our community because we need it and we love you.
We will be hosting a trauma informed, on-line ritual space for grief on Sunday April 26th @ 4 p.m. We are committing to holding a space where truth can be spoken and held, a space where care can be embodied and shared, and a space that is accessible. Please let us know in advance if you have accommodation needs at email@example.com.
If you want to join us, please complete a short registration form. The link will be emailed to you 30 minutes prior to the gathering. This form helps us protect the integrity of the space.
This gathering is free of charge. If you're able to offer a donation of any size, it would be greatly appreciated. Please visit paypal.me/TruthandTitus.
Take gentle care. We are with you.
