Intermediate Racial Equity Seminar A
Time & Location
About The Event
THIS IS A TWO DAY SEMINAR - 9-3:30, JANUARY 10 & 11. ATTENDANCE BOTH DAYS IS REQUIRED.
This is part one of our intermediate series. To be ready for our advanced seminar, you will need to take Intermediate B February 7-8, 2020.
In this training we take what we’ve learned in the introductory course to a new level. We begin to think about equity, oppression, and our social identities as they relate to implicit bias, power, privilege, and our own socialization (including how we internalize racialized superiority and inferiority). Learning will take place by way of individual and dyad reflections, small and large group work, videos, presentations, and skill practice. There will be pre-work for this training. Participants will need to have completed one of the following in order to enroll: Intro to Racial Equity, Doing our own Work, Weaving a New Tapestry, an ERRACE two-day, a WMAA lab, or a long term equity training series at your piece of work.
Coffee, tea, snacks and water will be provided. Please bring your own lunch each day or plan to eat out.
Full and partial scholarships are available. Use one of the following coupon codes to select the scholarship you need. Note: even if your cost will be zero, the system will ask for your credit card information unless you select "manual payment."
